Hello and welcome to the Santa Clara County Black Firefighters Association webpage!!! My name is Mark Roberts and I have been President of the SCCBFA since September 2008 and I take the position with energy and respect. My main focus in the SCCBFA is community involvement, recruitment, and advancement . I was hired by San Jose Fire Department in March 1997 and completed the fire academy in June 1997 and I am very proud of that! I currently work as a Fire Engineer on Truck 18 C on Monterey Highway and Skyway Drive. After almost 13 years with San Jose Fire, I understand more and more the importance of giving back to the community and sharing with people what it takes to get hired with one of the most respected professions on the planet. My goal is to do just that!
